when she took the train to work in a suit and tie one chill day in May. Before she left her cozy, yet swanky studio apartment in the upbeat heart of Manhattan, Margaret was suavely hell-bent on interweaving the tie, blazer and cuff link set that she bought out at thrifting into her wardrobe someway, somehow. It was just the how. "I knew that I couldn't just walk around this city as if I had no care in the world, while dressed in full man attire...and clearly I'm a woman. I had to take on the persona," Margaret explained with a smooth calm to her voice, "Not only did I still have to be feminine in my mannerisms, but I most certainly had to incorporate a certain masculine undertone that only the sharpest of chicks could pull off...and still be a chick."
Margaret gives advice on how to still be a lady in a suit. "Have confidence. There is nothing more sexier than a woman who knows who she is, whether she's headed to a gala clothed in the finest of linens, or driving up to a bar on a Harley with a helmet and leather pants. Defy antiquated standards for what women should be. The olden times are over, we are wearing the pants and bringing home the bacon. We can wear the suit too."
